🕯️ Boxed In by Monsters: How Colleen Stan Survived the Hookers’ House of Hell

By RICHIE D. MOWREY for The Sassy Gazette’s Dicking Around With Richie A True Crime Feed

This post wasn’t supposed to be about Colleen Stan. Not at first. I walked into this research ready to drag Cameron Hooker’s name across the concrete until sparks flew. The man is a sadistic architect who didn’t just build a box he built a tomb for a living woman and called it love. But the more I read, the more I listened, the more I felt the story began to shift. The crimes didn’t stay loud the survivor did. Colleen’s story didn’t just step forward; it shoved every other piece of this case aside and said: Tell mine. Completely.

Because when you truly understand what it means to live in a coffin under your captor’s marital bed when you feel the silence she was forced to swallow, the darkness she had to call home, the terror she learned to breathe through you don’t walk away unchanged. You don’t center the monsters. You center the woman who crawled out of hell barefoot, scarred, and somehow still alive.

So yes this is about Colleen, her pain, her endurance, her survival. But don’t misunderstand me for one second: I am still coming for the terribly, terrible Hookers.

If Cameron Built the Box, Janice Nailed It Shut

Let’s make something crystal clear:

  • Janice Hooker wasn’t a naïve bystander.
  • Janice was the lure.
  • Janice was the accomplice with a Bible in her lap and blood under her nails.

She’s the reason Colleen got in that car. She helped maintain the lie of The Company a fictional all‑powerful cult invented to keep Colleen obedient through fear of torture and death. She watched Colleen hung by her wrists. She watched her raped. And she didn’t just look away. She helped.

And then? She walked into court, handed over her testimony, and walked out with immunity. Not innocence. A deal. The legal system traded justice for convenience and Janice Hooker walked away free.

There Are Some Cases That Gnaw at Your Soul

There are some cases that gnaw at your soul this was one of them. I had to slam the laptop shut more than once just to keep from screaming. The more I dug, the more infuriating it became. Not just because of what Cameron Hooker did, but because of who helped him. Janice. Fucking. Hooker.

And let me be blunt: she wasn’t just an accomplice she was a co-conspirator. She didn’t “escape” the abuse. She enabled it. She held Colleen down while pretending to hold her up. She filed her nails while Colleen screamed in silence under the bed.

Your husband might’ve built the box but you helped lock it.

And I pray karma’s wearing steel‑toed stilettos because when she finds you, I hope she stomps hard.

Home, Hope, and Psychological Warfare

One of the most chilling acts of control was when the Hookers allowed Colleen to visit her family. That wasn’t mercy. It was psychological warfare. They fed her hope just long enough to make captivity feel inevitable. She sat at her family’s dinner table. She hugged her mother. And she said nothing because she genuinely believed speaking would get them killed.

That’s not weakness. That’s love under terror.

And still Colleen lived. Still she endured. Still — she walked out.

This Story Does Not Belong to the Hookers

This story is not about Cameron Hooker.

This story is not about Janice Hooker.

This story is about the woman who survived them.

Colleen Stan.

They tried to erase her. We remember her instead.

And no matter how many Sunday confessions she cried through, it doesn’t erase the seven years of psychological slaughter she allowed and took part in.

Janice Hooker, you should be in a goddamn cell. You held Colleen down while pretending to hold her up. You called yourself a wife, a mother, a victim but what about Colleen? What about the woman you helped cage like a lab rat under your marital bed?

And let’s talk about this nonsense where you supposedly told Colleen not to go to the police because you were going to “fix” your husband? Really? Was that before or after you let him build a coffin and stuff a woman inside of it like she was roadkill?

I don’t care how much scripture you memorized or how many trauma groups you claim to help now your hands are still dirty. This wasn’t just a crime against one woman. The ripple hit Colleen, your kids, and yes, even the truth. And the fact that you walked free while she had to live buried alive? That’s the real goddamn crime. Your husband might’ve built the box but you helped lock it.

So no, I’m not sorry for being angry. I’m not sorry for saying you’re as guilty as the man you claimed to fear. Maybe more so. Because you had a choice. And you chose silence. You chose survival over sisterhood.

And I pray karma’s wearing steel-toed stilettos because when she finds you, I hope she stomps hard.
