“Never Heard of Her”: Trump, Project 2025, and the Heritage Foundation’s Makeover of America (With Orange Highlights)

By RICHIE D MOWREY for The Sassy Gazette — The Gossip You Didn’t Know You Needed

Trump claims he’s never heard of it — while standing next to the receipt.

INTRODUCTION: The Gaslight Tour Continues

Donald Trump says he’s never heard of Project 2025. That’s like Dracula swearing off necks. Like Elon Musk pretending he doesn’t know what Twitter is (sorry—X). Like Marjorie Taylor Greene saying, “Let’s keep it civil.”

Let’s be clear: Project 2025 is no side hustle. It’s the Heritage Foundation’s Mein Kampf in business casual. A 900-page “mandate” for a conservative utopia — meaning a real-life dystopia for anyone who isn’t white, straight, rich, and allergic to books.

WHAT IS PROJECT 2025? (Besides Unhinged)

At its core, Project 2025 is:

  • A full-blown authoritarian wish list
  • A civil service demolition derby
  • A “how-to” manual for erasing progress
  • Wrapped in an American flag and doused in Axe body spray

Menu Highlights Include:

  • Firing nonpartisan government workers
  • Militarizing immigration
  • Trashing LGBTQ+ rights
  • Treating climate change like it’s just a horoscope

Oh, and giving the president sweeping new powers, because what could go wrong?

TRUMP’S “WHO, ME?” ROUTINE

Trump claims he has no idea what Project 2025 is. Right. And Melania writes her own Christmas tweets.

Let’s recap:

  • Project 2025 is staffed with former Trump officials
  • It praises Trump’s first term like it’s scripture
  • It builds on his existing policies like a haunted sequel

Trump saying he doesn’t know Project 2025 is like the Joker saying he’s never heard of chaos. It’s classic Trump deflection: lie first, golf later.

HERITAGE FOUNDATION: THE REAL SHADOW GOVERNMENT

Let’s talk about the Heritage Foundation — aka:

“The Chick-fil-A of Evil Ideas.”

They’ve been quietly installing their people into every corner of Trumpworld, setting up policies, writing the playbook, and polishing the boot that’s about to stomp on rights.

They don’t need Trump to read Project 2025. They just need him to sign it.

TRUMP ALREADY STARTED THIS PROJECT — IN 2017

This isn’t new. Trump’s already given us a free sample platter of Heritage policies:

  • Undermined the DOJ — Check.
  • Gutted environmental protections — Double check.
  • Stacked the courts with Federalist robots — Triple check.
  • Targeted trans Americans and banned critical education — It’s a bingo.

He is the beta test for Project 2025. He just doesn’t want the receipts catching up to him during election season.

FINAL THOUGHT: IF HE’S NOT THE AUTHOR, HE’S STILL THE COVER MODEL

Trump doesn’t need to understand the fine print — that’s never been his style. He just needs to be the angry, orange face of it. And that’s what Project 2025 is counting on.

It’s the ultimate power grab dressed up as policy. A right-wing fantasy with real-world consequences. And Trump? He’s the useful tool — emphasis on tool.

SHARE THIS IF YOU’VE EVER BEEN GASLIT BY A MAN WITH A POWERPOINT

Because this time, the PowerPoint has an AR-15, a Christian nationalist agenda, and a flag-wrapped demolition plan for the democracy you thought was safe.

Missing in Monongahela: The Disappearance of Shelby Rhodes

Little Dickies, There are nights when a town goes to sleep and nothing changes. And then there are nights when someone steps outside, takes a short walk into the cold, and the story never comes back. This is one of those nights. This is the disappearance of Shelby Rhodes . The Man Behind the Missing Poster Before the alerts, the shares, and the frantic search along the riverbanks, Shelby Rhodes was a young man trying to build something out of his life. He was twenty six years old. Red hair. Red beard. A face that looked like it belonged in a music video or behind a microphone, not on a missing person flyer. Shelby was from the Monongahela and Monessen area, part of the old Mon Valley where the river has always been both lifeline and danger. Family described him as resilient, sensitive, and creative. He had been knocked down more than once in life, but he kept getting back up. Tha...
